Universal Truth #3: Timeframe Continuity
Your lower timeframe is for timing. Your higher timeframe is for direction.

The teaching
Full timeframe continuity (FTFC) is the third universal truth. If the bigger timeframes are not on your side, the smaller timeframes will lie to you. Trading against a higher timeframe is like trying to swim upstream.
Your lower timeframe is for your timing, and your higher timeframe is for your direction. For a day or week trade you do not always need every timeframe aligned — align the day, week, month, and possibly the quarter.
All three truths combine into one sentence: an actionable signal off a broadening formation with timeframe continuity. If the monthly, weekly, and daily are aligned, trades flow. If they are mixed, trades chop. If they are opposite, trades fail fast. The example in the original lesson is TSM with the 4-hour, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly aligned.
Key points
- Lower timeframe = timing. Higher timeframe = direction.
- Against the higher timeframe is swimming upstream.
- Aligned = trades flow. Mixed = chop. Opposite = fail fast.
- Signal + broadening formation + continuity is the full setup.
